Main House

On the ground floor there is a large double/ twin bedroom (approx 14' x 11') with en-suite shower.  The large shower is equipped with a hand rail.  The lavatory is 19ins. (48cm)  height, narrowest door width 26ins. (66cm) and bed height 25ins.(64cm).  Apart from a small ramp at the front door, all access is on the level.  The bed is a six foot wide king size zip link allowing double or twin occupancy.  There is no space under the bed.

Downstairs Double/Twin Bedroom

Upstairs there are two rooms:

Upstairs double room with en-suite shower room.  It is equipped with a five foot wide king sized bed.

All rooms have facilities for tea/coffee,  and terrestial television. There is a sitting room for guests with a selection of books and games for bad weather days.

Annexe

Shuttocks Lodge is a self contained annexe, separate from the main house.  All the rooms are at ground level with easy access from a car which can be drawn up to the door.  It consists of a lounge

with dining table for four and a sofa bed.  There is a wood burning stove with a supply of logs. Patio windows open to a paved area and the main house garden.

There is a small galley kitchen area equipped with fridge, washing machine, cooker, toaster, microwave and the usual utensils and crockery.  Drying facilities are available in the main house.

The large bedroom is equipped with a ziplinked six foot by six feet six inch king sized bed.  There is ample space in the bedroom for a cot.

The annexe has a wetroom.  This is equipped with hand rails for the lavatory and the shower.  There is also a wall fixed shower chair.

The annexe would be suitable for those with a disability and wheelchair access is satisfactory.  The narrowest door is to the wetroom at 28ins. (70cms).  The bed height is 23 ins (59cms.) and there is ample space under the bed for a hoist.  It has been inspected for the Shropshire Wheelchair Users guide where it is listed.  However the kitchen is too narrow for ease of use from a wheelchair and therefore it would be more suitable for an accompanied person. 

Children.

Children over 10 can be accommodated in the main house. Younger children are welcome in the annexe either on a self catering or bed and breakfast basis.

Pets.

Juliet unfortunately gets wheezy with most furry pets so cannot take them in the house. Small dogs are usually OK in the annexe by arrangement. However, we have provided a comfortable kennel with run in the grounds. The kennel measures approx 4ft. (1.2m.) by 5 ft. (1.5m.) by 6ft (1.8m.) tall with a raised wooden floor and sleeping bench and the adjoining covered run is approx 6ft. (1.8m.) by 5 ft. (1.5m.). Please let us know if you have a small dog as the bar gap is 8cm and it might be necessary to put a mesh over the bars. There is a charge of £5 per night.
