We are situated about 16 miles from Shrewsbury, 16 miles from Ludlow and four miles from Bishops Castle in the valley of the East Onny overlooked by the Long Mynd. From Shrewsbury leave on the A49 to Church Stretton. Go through Church Stretton on the A49 and turn right onto the B4370. This takes you round the south end of the Long Mynd. At T junction turn right onto the A489. Continue for about 5 miles. The road takes a sharp right hand bend with the main road to Bishops Castle to the left making it a T junction. Follow the main road to the right and within 200 yards there is a turning to the right signposted More, Norbury, Wentnor and Pulverbatch. Go straight down this road and do not turn off. Shuttocks Wood is about three miles on the left just past Norbury school which is on the right. Alternatively, find the Shrewsbury Nuffield Hospital on Longden Rd.; it is well signposted around Shrewsbury. Simply continue down this road for exactly 14.4 miles and turn right into Shuttocks Wood B&B. On the way you will pass Hook a Gate, Annscroft ( 2.1 miles ), Longden, Pulverbatch, Ratlinghope, Inn on the Green (13.5 miles – getting close ) and then after a narrow bridge on a bend we are about ¾ miles further on.
